Got a friend in SW Cockran County (Bledsoe) that has 53,000 acres he's wanting to lease out to one group for Quail hunting. The place has a nice 5 bedroom lodge and he wants to lease after Mule deer season which ends the first Sunday after Thanksgiving. Ranch has both Blues and Bobs and he's wanting $1.50 an acre. My question is,,is that to high or not high enough. Just trying to help a friend.

Thanks for any advise.

I don’t think he’ll get anywhere near that price. There’s millions of acres in public hunting just west of there in NM.

I know some big Quail leases in that part of the world are < $0.40 acre, full season.

Is that the Abilene Christian land that Oren used to manage? Are they interested in individual members?
