LOL ive used a YOYO, but that mower was before my time. Had one at my grandmas farm house we used to stay at. Dad said he used it when he was a boy, it was all locked up when I tried it.

I mowed with one like that many times. I learned pretty quick that you never let the grass get too high or that thing would wear you out.

We had a reel mower, but dad bought a gas powered mower for us boys. My little brother always mowed, he was dad’s favorite. Ok with me.

My grandparents had one of those mowers, with about an acre of St Augustine grass. Walked many a mile behind that mower.

My cousins and I took turns on one of those at my grandparent's house when we were kids. When it was over we took turns turning the crank on a homemade ice cream freezer.

I would like to have a working one right now. I have a very small area to mow in front of the shop. So small I use my trimmer to mow. I'd rather push a reel mower that doesn't have an engine. And that's after having the blessing of a new Bucee's near the house that sells ethanol free gas.

The lady down the street uses a Scott's brand, she said she paid about $60 for it new.

I never used one, but there were a whole host of other issues my dad gave me the same option.

I had one very similar to that. It worked like magic on my St Augustine lawn, it hated my Bermuda lawn. The sound of the blades cutting and watching it works was very relaxing. I also had a edger that was very similar, no motor, the faster you pushed the faster the blade turned.
