Looking for more eyes to see this before I take off on building some. The legs will be angle iron and are 18” from the edge of the spouts, which have a 60+ degree angle on top to keep the coons off. Stand and fill, 40” to bottom of the spout. My gut tells me that a coon is gonna have to cliffhanger off of the spout with one arm while scooping feed out with the other if he wants to steal some. Give me your thoughts!

This third pic is the inside view of the same spout from the other pics. The corners have “wings” that are bent and welded in to direct the feed out of the corners into the spouts, I don’t think there will be much feed that sits once it’s empty.

I don’t know how hard it would be to do, but maybe make the spouts wider.

Agree a coon would have a hard time hanging on to that slope.

I would put your feed ports on each corner where your legs are now. That will give better antler clearance when bucks are in velvet. I have seen many photos thru the years of bucks with velvet antler damage that got while trying to eat from a feeder that was just to difficult for them to access feed. I would do away with your four legs on the corners and put it on one 4" square tubing that is in the middle of the bottom. Keep your same skid base but only have the feeder on one leg instead of 4. That will help with coons. Also IMO 40" to feed ports is to high for deer to eat freely out of. If I were buying a feeder it would be 33"-35" to bottom of feed port. IME deer do not eat that long at a feeder so they need to be able to consume enough feed in a short period of time. I would visit different deer breeders and watch how they eat out of the style feeders they use. With your design now on the feed ports I can see some bucks with long tines and mainbeams getting velvet antler damage when trying to eat.
Like anything you build they are well made and should last a very long time. A little tweaking and you will have a feeder that will sell very well.
