Buzz, not really rotor rooter but felt like it. They went in and removed 1/3 of my poop chute. Took awhile to recover, got some infections, miserable experience.

Without a sense of urgency, nothing ever happens.
Boy, if I say "sic em", you'd better look for something to bite. Sam Shelley, Rancher Muleshoe Texas 1892-1985 RIP

look at the Green Light Laser. My prostate was too big for Urolift, it would take too many clips to get my prostate away from my urethra. Last time I was at my Urolosist, there was a guy in the next room screaming like he was getting branded, I bet he was getting the same treatment you were.
Now before you rush in to the Green Light procedure, google it. My symptoms were completely gone TILL NOW!!!!
I have begun to have a few symptoms creep back in. Needing to urinate more frequently, My GP ran my PSA last week when I was in for my bi-yearly physical. My PSA was back up to 7 !!!. I went this week to leave blood with ,my Urologist to see what he comes up with. Waiting now for the test results.
Stay tuned Jimbo1, I'll keep you posted

Buzz, what has your PSA been in the past? Is 7 high for you? You say "back up to". Your Dr should be able to graph what it has been. Have you had an MRI or biopsy? If 7 is a significant spike I would be visiting with him/her about an MRI. A biopsy for prostate cancer can be hit or miss but insurance companies require them for treatment approval. MRI's have come a long way in detecting cancer of the prostate and they use them as a guide when doing a biopsy. Don't mess around.

If I was only in my upper 40's to 50 this thread would be scaring me. But at 64 I feel real real lucky!!
I drink a whole lot of water. Without exaggeration, I'm never without a big tumbler of ice water. It goes with me everywhere all day long. I keep a case of bottled water in the vehicle at all times for refills.
