Very pretty, when sunny.

Unfortunately, just like Pebble, they expect rain all 4 days

It's going to be low 60's for the highs, light rain except for Saturday and the wind is 10-15mph. The course is firm and the rough is heavy, perfect if you ask me. I want Graeme McDowell to win it, maybe Rory will snap his dry spell with home cooking.

Probably not but that display he put on in 2006 with his 2-iron driving at Royal Liverpool was one for the ages. 200 and something bunkers on the course and I think he found one off the tee all week...

The rough out there is epic, deep and greasy like a MOTHA
Lots of driving irons and 3 woods off the tee, at least for the first 2 days.
Too bad for the drizzle and cold rain for 4 days.
I wished it were to be 35 mph hard side rain/wind/cold for the first 3 days followed by no wind 75 and sunny on final day.

I have no interest in seeing the winner be +4.

Don't take the bait. Can you imagine the meltdown if Tiger wins this?

Calamity corner at 236 yards par 3 into the wind is where you will see scores ranging from 2 to 6
A ton of marbles will be gained/lost on that beast

Frank Nobilo just did a breakdown on calamity corner, don't miss right at all.

I’m fine with that. I just don’t have any interest in the weather being so brutal that the winner is +4. That’s not enjoyable to me.

I’d love an over par champion.

The drop zones look a tad harder then the ones we usually see on tour.

How come? And I don’t want one really, although I don’t mind hard courses that make them work for it. I just don’t want punitive courses that are impossible (like the US Open last year, which was dumb) and I don’t want terrible weather that makes it ridiculous either. I don’t mind a winner being just a few under, but I don’t want 35 mph winds and rain to make an already hard course impossible. It’s just not fun for me to watch.

I don’t really know. I just like to see a course make them look like I look out there haha.

That’s good enough reason for me. up

I don’t want to see them suck just for the sake of it, but I understand. The bugger thing is, I don’t want weather to make it impossible either.
