I want to put one or two grab bars in the fiberglass shower. I can find the studs above the shower and extend the stud line to the shower wall. So, can I drill through the fiberglass and mount the bars without ruining the integrity of the shower wall?

You guys know everything...

Yes.Seal around the screws with urethane caulk.


There's only 2 seasons in a year. Deer season and getting ready for deer season.

Make sure you get the right length bars that reach from stud to stud, depending on centers

Be careful not to tighten the screws to tight on the fiberglass, May not have backing between the fiberglass and the wall. Just saying.
Some fiberglass units have a void some do not.
