I'm looking to pick up a 1-6x scope for my 308 that I'm buying and I would like some opinions.
I did research & research here-
https://ioutdoorpursuit.com/1-6x-scopes/
While looking into the article I've seen many comparisons there and finally like the Leupold 6x24.
If anyone knows other good brands that offer a 1-6x that would be great, please let me know.
Thanks,

My favorite one. You can find them used for much less money.

I shopped around a while for one and found the Leupold vx5 to be the best buy for the $ I got it on sale st Cabelas for something I wouldnt use very often, after that you start jumping up to the swaros and Nightforce and they double in price.

I put this Primary Arms 1-8 mil/mil scope on my 308 Win, 16" bolt gun for hunting. I love the set up. It's a perfect set up for me for a hunting rig.

It's not 1-6 but 1-8, it's what I run on my .308 AR and is on sell right now for $299 with Vortex cantilever mount, no tax and free shipping:

I have a Vortex Viper PST gen2 1-6 I've been pretty happy with. Actually thinking about getting rid of it to go to a little higher mag for my 6.5 Grendel..

I feel like the Trijicon 1-8 doesn't get enough love. I've been thinking about getting something similar for a 308 ar. I have a 1-4 accupoint and 2.5-10 accupower. I think they are both great and so far performs very well, although i admit i haven't shot too much with either.

They are often overlooked. I have a few 3-9 Accupowers and I love them, especially the mil square reticle.

Noebet I read the article you referenced(https://ioutdoorpursuit.com/1-6x-scopes/), and wouldn’t put much trust in it myself. Putting a TruGlo in the top ten makes me wonder.

Don’t roll those bloodshot eyes at me.

You are right about this. I recently got a chance to put my hands on this optic, and it is most excellent. The eyebox is very forgiving, the glass is great, and I really like the turrets. The elevation turret is locking, and the zero stop is stupid easy to set. The reticle is a tiny bit too thick for a really fine aiming point, but it's fine for the type of rifle you're probably going to put it on. I was still capable of <1moa shooting with it. Reticle is clean and the subtensions make sense for wind holds. Illumination setup makes plenty of sense for hunting situations too.

All in all, it is a very solid optic.

Great review and so precisely put too.
I can't tell if I'm just being a trijicon fanboy or not. But I got 3 of their products, none of the original combat optics, and love all them. They all seem to be great value even though it's never the cheapest. I too have been looking for a similar power range scope. Glad to hear you like it so much.
One youtube guy, sage dynamics, reviewed this scope and insinuated that it's better than a competitor's product without mentioning a name. I assume it the NX8 because he recently reviewed it. I'm not claiming this guy is anything resembling a be all-end all opinion, but this guy sure does go out of his way to abuse his gear. Also, I like his videos.

I love my Trijicon Accupoint 2.5-12. Lots of people hate on it for being SFP but the good parallax adjustment works well for me when it's on top of my CZ455

For the $, I am a fan of the Trijicon (non-combat) products as well. I'd still pick a Nightforce over a Trijicon any day of the week, regardless of the application. You just can't deny their reputation for ultimate durability. However, if a $1,000 Triji fits in your budget but a $1,700 NX8 doesn't, I don't think you'd be selling yourself short by much. Very few people would be able to tell a difference. (including myself)

Lots and lots of manufacturers do. All the time I see scope features that tell me they don't have any shooters working for that optic maker.

Yes, much less coin, but not much less performance

I paid around 1200.00 for mine. Maybe they are discounted more because of name recognition. They are also built like a tank.
