I don't think it would be a good idea for the dog to pee in that area.

Once you've totally eliminated all coyotes and bobcats living within two miles of your cameras, then you can start worrying about whether having a dog along will have an impact. grin

I have a friend that has a ranch in Noodle, TX, I go there every year to run my dogs for him and a few of his buddies to Quail hunt. I always go sit in a stand in the evenings and to get there, I take the Mule with 4 dogs in the box on the back. I pull right up under the stand and park. Last season I had been in the stand for less than an hour and had 19 deer in sight, all bucks. Had deer eating corn 50 yds from the blind, I even heard the dogs reposition a couple times and the deer never paid them any mind. This is a place that never has anything but an electric golf cart on the roads all deer season so it isn't that they are conditioned to the mule either. Never even looked at it. But when running and moving, the mule scares the crap out of them, turn it of and give it 10 minutes, they have forgot all about it. It also amazes me that we can run through there with 3-4 dogs on the ground back and forth all through the place with a Mule and a Polaris and never see a deer or maybe just a few but let it get quiet for an hour and there they are. You aren't hurting anything bringing your dog.

It’s so hot scent disperse quickly, assuming they even take note. Most don’t care

My buddy hunts from a ground blind on a sendero junction, and has always taken his dog into the stand with him. No effect on the deer.

During the offseason I take mine. I don't think it hurts anything.

I am with Marc. Deer are not afraid of dogs that are not aggressive to them.
Adios,
