Just a guess but I'm thinking 3 or 4 more weeks.
Thursday at 12:45 PM #33 Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

Depends on where you are in the state....could be 4 to 7 more weeks of growth time left. Seems to me there are always two different groups of bucks with one group being about 2-3 weeks behind the lead group. I have some with growth past G4's and some just getting to G2's.
Are idiots multiplying faster than normal people?

In our part of the world in NW Tx its always real close to Labor Day-give or take for individual bucks. Actually, when I say "quit growing" im referring to when they shed velvet and I guess they technically quit some time prior to that...?

At some point in life its time to quit chasing the pot of gold and just enjoy the rainbow. FR Keep your gratitude higher than your expectations. RWH

They have a lot of growing to do down here. Heck I just about ran over a fresh fawn today with the tractor, had to be only a day or two old.

Last year most of the bucks on my lease (Hamilton Co) shed velvet on or around 8/26.

Last year most of the bucks on my lease (Hamilton Co) shed velvet on or around 8/26. I just checked my SD cards from the last two years and the deer on my place (Stephens County) shed around 8/29. I would guess they actually stop growing a week or two prior to that.
