I have a Leupold RX-1000i. The read-out has become funky and inoperable. I've emailed Leupold, asking if the thing is worth repairing. (I realize the warranty is out, and stated so in my email. ) Over a week and no response. Dam thing was all I ever needed. Round file or keep trying to contact? I have no idea how this digital crap works. Every ancestor survived without one, but I hate having to step crap off. grin

Give them a call. I’ve sent scopes to them. They were refurbed and returned at no charge.

You can't take it with you my friend, so time to spend some coin on the Sig Kilo, lol. I had a leupold like yours and it can't hang with the Kilo 2k. You will be happy with the upgrade. up

I read many reports of lazer rangefinders taking a dump after warranty. Pretty much the only reason I bought the vortex I did, they were the only one to offer a lifetime warranty. Are there better? I'm sure, but it does what I need it to and I don't have to worry about this in the future.
Think I bought mine almost 2 years ago now, have any others offered a lifetime warranty?

I have the same rangefinder and the same issue. Their warranty is only for a year. Basically trash and I will never buy another product. Replaced with Leica range finding bino. Only need for a hand held range finder is bow hunting. My cheap bushenells have been going strong for a decade.

CR I had the exact same issue. Follow the link below, print out the form, fill it out, send it and item back in to Leopold. They sent me a brand new rangefinder in its place and mine was well outside the warranty by a couple of years. Took about 2-3 weeks turn around if I recall. Goodluck

My Leupold RX laser stopped working . The range finder comes on when the button is pushed but it won’t read any distance. I called Leupold and they told me they do not repair but will give a discount on a new purchase. I bought a Lica from a member here on the forum instead.

I was not so lucky. My RX1000 did the same as the OP, and Leupold offered me something like 30%off a new one. I still don’t have a rangefinder.
