May take the wife to Denver next March/April. What are some cool things to do, nice places to stay and good food recommendations. Will probably fly in and rent a car if there's lots to do in the outlying areas. Otherwise would just Uber around downtown if there's a lot to do there. Thanks.

Stay on or near 16th street. Tons of restaurants and bars.

First thing I would do is find a pot shop. Go from there.

Now. This ain’t for everyone.

Denver tradition is Casa Bonita. The food sucks, like Ponchos, but the cliff diving is kinda cool.

Red Rock Amphitheater is cool and IF you can catch a concert it's even better!

cache la poudre river rafting, north of denver to ft collins and go north on 287. fun times on river road too, some cool little bars/restaurants.

if you want to just take a cool drive for a day, go west on 70 thru eisenhower tunnel to silverthorne exit, go north to kremmling then east to winter park and back to denver. great scenic drive with lots of options for pulling over for pics etc.

denver proper never appealed to me, I was always in and gone asap when I had to do business there.

might look for events coming, there are quite a few in the spring in the downtown area/arenas.

will be too early to make estes park worthwhile, snow will have the road closed most likely.

south to colorado springs then to monument/pikes peak and maybe even hit cripple creek for some slots.

ski areas will be open, a basin, keystone, breckinridge, copper mt. are all about a 2.5 hr drive (if things go perfect, look for some idiot to have a wreck and plan accordingly).

Take a jaunt to fish the north fork of the south Platte west of Denver. Then hit all the good restaurants in LoDo.
