What is the most deer you have taken in 1 sit?

My personal record is 5 does in 1 evening, over a large oat field in south Texas.

I think the most animals I’ve taken in a year not counting hogs is 13

A buddy and I killed 107 in two weeks. No sitting, we killed them all driving around in a suburban with a hole cut out of the top. They were all killed with a 22-250. That was back when moly coated core lokt were a fad. 55gr. Of death. Not one took a step on a 100K+ acre ranch.

I think all of that work is why I don’t care if I ever kill another deer. I still like to go deer hunting but would just as soon stay In camp and cook. I’d much rather run dogs.

My record is 2 WT does in WY, and 3 in TX in one sit.

The most I personally know of is 200 does in a weekend, by a friend of my sisters. His family owns a very large ranch in South Texas and a few years ago he and his buddy took them off, with two pickups full of ranch hands to drag them out of the brush and take to the barn and cooler.

On my friends property in Namibia, we have killed 100 gemsbok and eland in two hours, with the helicopter and 00 in a 12 ga. Back of the head shots, at about 20-30 feet. My friend loves his R-22 helo!!!

One sit, 4. 2 doe, spike and buck. S. Tex MLD of course. Could be many more but should spread the doe killing evenly per blind when you have 40 blinds. So no more than 2 doe each in a hunt. End of season would be different story.

Guy I know took 30 giraffe in a few days over there. Pics didn't lie...

I enjoy cooking at camp more than anything. Still have to meet the ranch objectives though if you go to hunt.

I've killed two in one sit a couple of times. It's a lot of work.

Two doe for me

4, last day of doe-spike in 2013. They just kept coming and we had freezers to fill, including two that were donated to needy families. Saw 33 total in 2.5 hours that morning. I got four one other time, but that was one from the blind and three from a breeding party we encountered on the way in.

I don't think ive ever shot more than 1 deer on a sit.

I have never hunted on MLD places much other than a doe day hunt or something. One of my buddies use to go do doe hunts on a 16,000 acre place in south texas. He told me he shot 10+ per sit several times. I just scratched my head and said shoot you had to reload the gun 3 times. I was always suppose to go do the day hunt with him but never panned out.

4 does for me in one sit, but only took 2 shots ... waited until heads were down over hand corn, wait until necks crossed, bang ... waited about 20-30 minutes for the group to come back in and repeated. I could have done it several more times but didn't have the freezer space to put any more.

since the statue of limitations is way behind me, circa 1969 ... not a sit per se, we did a deer drive on foot with 4 of us walking about +/-100 yards apart, starting at north fence line with specific path we were to follow, and 5 other hunters along the south fence line at known locations. The 4 of us walked thru pushing the deer to the south. By the time I got to the south fence line, I had 7 does down behind me. All total for all hunters was 27 that afternoon. Then the work started. I finished that season with 29 deer total.

Doe patrol weekend is the best weekend. 4 from 1 sitting, and I think 10 in one afternoon with driving around. All MLD

5 does once out of a blind one morning and 4 multiple times on ranches needing lots of does killed under MLD. My personal record is over 60 does in a 10 day period. Killed over 100 deer in a MLD season a few times.

Just 2 - but that is all I needed for the freezer.

Three in another state years ago.

3 is the most for me. At the Matador WMA, on a doe hunt. I had a high point, and as the deer filtered off the neighboring grain field, I got my limit in one sit. Lots of work as I also shot a lousy pig.

Two in one sit.

Actual hunting two. Shot one and the other just stood there so I shot her, too. I did take 64 does off a friend's place once with MLD tags, but I wouldn't call that hunting. It was just shooting.

I also adhere to the "Never shoot a lone doe," philosophy.

The most I have killed in one sit was 2 Whitetail does.

Total of 4 in about 1.5-2 hours. One from 604 yards and the rest from about 250-350 yards. I took these 2 and a hunting buddy took the other 2. We were on an MLD place that needed does taken, and we helped out. The guy I was with was the owners son, and he didn't think I could take anything at longer range, so I passed on some does at 820 yards. But he did give me the green light on the 604 yard doe. Center punch with a 190 SMK from a Sako TRG 42 in 300 WM.

Three, in about 10 or 15 seconds, using a Marlin 336 in 35 Remington. Most in one day is 11.

I shot three does once in the morning. They just kept coming back. I could have shot more but that was the extent of my tags and that was all of the venison I needed.
