at 3200fps , with the right bullet up to 90 grains, the .22 Creedmoor should kill a Texas deer pretty dead @ reasonable distances.

Besides the BC deficient 64gr , Bonded by Nosler. which .224 do YOU use for fast .22 deer medicine?

75gr Swift Sirocco is my choice in the 22-243. I have used it on deer and hogs from 10 yards to 300 yards, no complaints

The 80.5 Berger FullBore has been very reliable from 450 yards and as close as 60 yards on deer ALL shoulder shots.
All these were 22CM victims with 80.5

These deer were shot with same 22CM but with 80gr bullet that was a prototype and not sure of status at this time.
I am surprised that with the Valkyrie out on the market there are not more game bullets in 224 caliber being introduced. Maybe manufacturers think it’s a small niche market as many states don’t allow .224 on big game?

The previously mentioned 75 Grain Swift Scirocco would be a good one, and it should be at 55.99 per 100.

The 65 Grain Sierra Gameking would be the second one I would try in a .22 Creedmoor, right after the 64 Grain Nosler BSB peep

Just my .02,
LeonCarr

if wanting to drop into the 60gr class, Swift also makes a I forget 62 or 64gr Sirocco.

The 175lb buck I shot at 10 yards with a 75gr Sirocco was shot through the shoulders Hit blade on way in and clipped leg bone on exit, pretty sttp angle when you are in a 14 foot tripod and the deer is only 10 yards. Same rifle same stand shot a 190lb sow at almost 300 yards broke both shoulders and was under the hide on the far side. They are not cheap but do work from the fast steppers.

The second post /picture is the 80gr bullet that may or may not be introduced at some point. It seemed to kill similar to the 80gr ELD-M bullets I have also used on deer.
These seem a little more frangible than the Berger's for sure but never lost any animals due to lack of penetration even on head shot hogs personally.
Have a buddy who is shooting 80gr ELD-M and has had close range blow-ups on pig's heads but all were shot at less than 100 yards.
Most of my head shots on hogs were longer ranges most at 450 yards or so.

I have some 75 grain gold dots I'll probably use in the Valkyrie I have coming.

They are bonded and inexpensive.

If your barrel chooses to like them the Nosler 55 grain Etip would do the deer in and save the meat.

Whatever shoots the most precise and put it in the brainstem.

If going for vitals, use something larger, with a heavier bullet.

I'd have zero concerns driving a bonded or copper 22 caliber bullet through a deer's vitals with a 22 Creedmoor.

I'd have zero concerns with you doing it either.

Have you paid attention to Buzz's lack of attention?

Have you seen him shoot?

Ever seen the D.A.L. trophy?

I have a box of standard (not MSR) Fed Fusion 62gr for my .223. I have yet to shoot a deer with it but ive had excellent performance of the 115gr 6.8 and 120gr 7-08 Fusion loads. It’s there in case I need an extra gun for a visitor.

Where are you buying these? Every place I have looked they are out of stock, pre-order, we don't have them but say we do, etc.

Just my .02 and thanks in advance,

Just get the 75gr Swift Sirocco, it is a proven bullet that works great

Need to borrow a few Sirocco to test, I've tried them in my 5R .223, never got the accuracy I was used to in that gun, it shoots 77SMK's really good.

That Accubond sound good. I need a heavier bullet. Probably end up using my 6.5 for my trophy hunt but the .22 would be fun for my culling hint.

Might look at precision reloading they used to sale small samples of bullets for trials so a man didn't have to commit to a full box.

Buzz, I will try to find mine, still unpacking a lot of stuff. If yuo do not have some by then I will ship you a few. I was getting 3.5 inch groups at 325 yards and stopped development there, with the scope on that 22-243 I figured that is good enough. Will work up another load sometime though with RL 26 to see what I can get.
