Occasionally the wife wants her steak without the steak being grilled. I am kinda like the genie in the bottle. Her wish is my command.

So I made her steak and Bok choy with a ginger/honey/red wine vinegar reduction. I added wild rice and a big chunk of French bread to finish the meal.

A very simple meal. Tasty, quick and easy to cook with a minimum of ingredients.

To make the reduction cut about 1.5 inches of peeled ginger root into match stick pieces. Fry ginger until crispy in a bit of oil. Remove ginger from the pan. Cook the steak in the same pan about 2.0 to 2.5 minutes per side. Remove steak from the pan. While the steak is resting add about 2-3 tablespoons of honey and 1/4 cup red wine vinegar to the pan. Put the ginger back into the pan. Cook a couple of minutes until the mixture is thick.

Spoon the sauce over baby bok choy that has been boiled about one minute.
