Remington 700 308 Varmint 1-12 twist with 18” barrel shooting suppressed. Load would be 150 grain Hornady Interlock, CCI Large Rifle Primer, Hornady brass with 46.5 grains of Varget. Any guesses what velocities I could make with this setup? Is 2700 FPS a pipe dream with an 18” barrel?

Before anyone says it, I know I should buy a chronograph. A chronograph is on the list, but flooding wiped out some feeders and I have to replace those first.

I’m running 2750 FPS with a 155 scenar in my 18” AR 10. So in an 18” bolt gun, you should be running faster than that. I’d estimate 2800.
