My wife and I are about to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. We will be spending a long weekend in Bandera, TX. Does anyone have any deals nearby for June 30 or July 1 on axis? She wants to kill her own axis and then have a purse made. We already have an Air BNB for lodging, just need an animal to hunt. A cull axis buck would be perfect for this experience!

If these dates arenít available, we could also make it anywhere in the hill country July 5-7.

have you thought about hunting for two axis does. plenty of meat, you each get to hunt one, it would be less expensive and they have the same beautiful, albeit smaller hides. plenty to make a purse and a pillow from

"did you do that?"

The bucks are in rut and probably have some battle scars. If you wanna make a purse, does will probably make a better hide right now.
