Durango Colorado north to Montrose is pretty neat.

Washington 20 across the Cascades....skyline drive in Virginia...blue ridge parkway near Asheville ....

As much as I hate California. PCH is most scenic. Actually, you don't hate California. What you hate are the politicos who run (ruin?) a state of natural geographic beauty.

The drive thru and out of Yellowstone NP to Jackson, Wyoming is very impressive.
170 from Big Bend RSP to Big Bend NP.
The whole drive thru the Great Smokey Mountains NP.

Go back in time to the 50's and 60's before Interstates. The drive through Raton Pass was a great trip to Pueblo. Or the roads into Deadwood before the tourists traps started to line the highway with their "gold panning"  .
