Popper, I tried riding a big boar hog like your GIF right out of the back of a cattle trailer at my grandpa's once.. As I landed, he took off and jumped/bucked and I took a crossbar right across the forehead. Cleanly got me off his back and dang near knocked me out. That was the end of my hog riding days...
DNS you're relentless on the pigs, Keep it up. Always a quality video from you.
Thanks! I work for a few landowners with hog issues. The hogs can be pretty sporadic on any given property, so I have to keep checking them regularly. I had not seen hogs on this particular property in several weeks. Then all of a sudden, here they all are.

Keep after 'em!
Chasing down hogs or coyotes on foot is usually a losing proposition, but sometimes they will stop and give you a 2nd chances. You mentioned speed and walking in the dark, my progress was being slowed by high vegetation that kept poking me through my pants. That is when I stopped to see where the sounder was. Turns out, I was in a huge patch of thistle. Sheesh! It isn't as bad as nettle, but it seems to grow much taller.

I have thistle on my property that can grow 8' tall (not joking). Its pretty when it blooms...but you know when you bump into one. Not as bad as nettle...as you say, but not fun either.
Good shooting on that pig. Excellent discipline to immediately get a second sight picture in case a follow up shot is needed. Many folks fail to do that.
