I was just curious if anyone still uses CB's anymore? I have noticed sometimes when I hunt I might be in an area where I can't get cell phone reception. So I figured that a cb might be a good idea to have just on case. What's y'all's thoughts?

They're still around, but just truckers use 'em I'm pretty sure. You'd have to have a base unit at the house and/or others would have to have in their vehicles.

I pay an inReach subscription for this scenario; little texting device w/ SOS button that works on the Iridium sat phone network. You can get a plan that allows you to suspend usage (and billing) until you need it again.
