Thursday night for dinner I made one of my wife's favorite meals for dinner, Beef Bourguignon, and then finished the leftovers today after church.

Darn that is a hard word to spell. Yeah, I can't pronounce the name correctly either.

Regardless the dish is a delicious. Essentially it is a pot roast type dish using 2-3 cups of wine in the ingredients. I have used both Merlot and Pinot Noire wines to make the dish. Since I don't know beans about wines, I think the dish is pretty forgiving and does not require chef level skills to make a tasty meal.

Every time I make the dish or serve the leftovers I earn an "Atta Boy" from the wife.

Here is a link for the recipe I have used before.

Cast,

I have not tried using venison. I don't see why it would not work.

My only thoughts are when I have used Eye of Round roast versus Chuck Roast that the Chuck Roast made a richer gravy that I assumed was caused by the Chuck Roast having a bit more fat that the round roast.

After you try it let me know how it tasted.
