Anyone know the minimum distance you have to be from a residence while hunting?

From what I have read a person needs to be 600 feet from property lines and you can not have the bullet cross over property line
To shoot a firearm or bow

I don’t believe there is a State Law concerning the minimum distance from a residence, however, Any projectile fired can not legally cross your property line unless you have permission from the adjacent property owner.
There may be a city or county ordinance that sets a minimum distance.

Most states give a distance to a dwelling but can be closer with permission of occupants.
Where I hunt in TX we have shot hogs from the deck of the house.

My uncle used to sit in the recliner watching TV and shoot squirrels out the window during commercials. Does that count as minimum distance?

For private or public property? Far as I know you can shoot anywhere on your property as long as the bullet doesn't cross the property line, baring city limits, and minimum property size restrictions some counties have etc.

The reason i ask this is i saw a episode of lonestar law, and a hunter got in trouble for hunting too close to a house.
And apparently over this last few months some one has built on the adjacent property, and their house is a little over 100 yards away. It would kind of scare me to hunt the spot since the have youngsters also...

Maybe the county game warden would know. confused2 , or do i want to risk calling him roflmao

and there are county laws that you need to inquire, example Bastrop county, in plated homes, minimum of 40acers and then there is a minimum (don't remember how much) if you live in non plated area, I know my neighbor lived on 4 acers and could not target shoot with his pistol.

In the last 20 plus years there has been dozens maybe a hundred deer shot out of the bedroom window of our cabin.
