Walnut and mesquite with maple and mahogany diagonal accents. Wrapped in birdseye maple. Bevel cut on the bottom to help with picking it up.

Very nice. Miter those corners so you don't interrupt the look with end grain.

Thanks for posting; The end grain sections don't personally bother me much, but I do hear your point, and everyone has certain tastes. I've got a few on the schedule coming up that will be mitered with spline accents, which will be fun projects.

Yeah, but it will look SO good and the extra effort will be appreciated by those who have an eye for it. Price them accordingly. Great work.

The end grain doesn't bother me. I like a cutting board that is all end grain. The bevel is a nice touch. As always, good work jdk

The end grain doesn't bother me. : It doesn't trouble me either really...and with most solid woods it wouldn't look any different. But when you use Birdseye Maple the purpose is to show off the 'pattern'. Why interrupt that pattern abruptly by using a butt joint and exposing the end grain? It's not bad, I'm not saying that. But a mitered joint there (with that particular wood) would be outstanding. I like the beveled bottom too, excellent idea.
