Headed back to Texas Hill Country this weekend. Plans are to stay in Wimberley 3 nights, visiting Blue Hole, Hamilton Pool, Jacobs well. Canyon Lake, and Guadalupe river state park. Only two restaurants we have plans to visit are Inzos and Canyon Lake Marina. Leaving Wimberley and heading to Uvalde for 4 nights. Staying on the nueces river on an 800 acre ranch. Any ideas of some cant miss things to do are appreciated. Looking forward to seeing all those big American flags you Texans proudly display.

I'd add a stop for some REAL Texas BBQ brisket. Make sure it's a non-franchised, non-citified, hole-in-the-wall for real Texas BBQ joint. I personally can't recommend any place in the area you're traveling, so hopefully someone can chime in!

if anywhere close to Gruene around meal time, the Gristmill River Restaurant has some of the best onion rings ever...

Swamp Rabbit- can you explain why I-10 east bottlenecks just over the Mississippi River bridge ? Who was the genius that planned that ? I hate that area, Have started going hiway 90 from Lafayette to bypass Baton Rouge. Enjoy your time here in Texas MO
