Due to the rain it looks like I might have to hunt another area of the lease this year. I don't have a feeder in the area I am considering so I was thinking of using a tailgate feeder on my Rhino UTV to put out corn on the way to my hunting area. I was wondering if any of you could recommend a tailgate feeder model that you have had good luck with. Most of the reviews I have read online have been pretty poor.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

All Seasons are good road feeders. If your on a budget the Wildgame from Academy will work, just change the spinner plate...the one it comes with is terrible. If you change it out will throw great (15' radius instead of like 7').

I’ve had an All Seasons 100lb for about 12 years. It probably needs the motor replaced, haven’t used it for a couple years. I also have a 50lb from Bucees. It’s also a good feeder, and pretty inexpensive. It only came with brackets to hang on tailgate. I converted it to a receiver style.

After I bought a Texas Hunters Products road feeder, and used it a little, it dawned on me that you need to consider a spinner plate that shuts off and up completely whenever not in use. Otherwise, depending on how rough your property is, you're gonna lose a lot of feed just driving out to where you're going to use it. (Unless you wait to fill it 'til you're there, which is kinda a PITA.)

I haven't looked at switching it out with something like and Eliminator Plate, but that's the type of plate a road feeder needs.

Yeah, I have a Foreverlast, 50lbr. from Academy and for $89 it is a good feeder. Believe you can regulate the flow at spout so that is nice too.

My mistake. Yes, the foreverlast is what I have from Academy and not a Wildgame. Fine but if you change the spinner on it, works even better. We have 2. Nice and light and I like the regulator on it.

Put this spinner on it and works great and doesn't spill corn while you drive.

The 50 pounder from Bucees works fine. Just keep the slide closed when not in use

I have the 50 pound Foreverlast and it's done fine for me. It'll spill a little corn on really rough ground, but it's not terrible. I had to buy the receiver kit for it, but it's been fine. I drilled the rivets out of the diverter plate and zip tie it open if I want to spread oats. Not the best at that, but worked alright.

I'd buy it again.

If you can weld, you can make a road feeder pretty cheap. Motors on eBay, for less than $10. A 10 gallon barrel or even a 5 gallon bucket. Hole in the bottom for the corn to fall out of. On the motor you need a spinner plate. A 1/4: bolt about inch long drilled in the head to slide on the bolt, and cross drilled and tapped for a set screw to lock the bolt on the motor shaft. A flattened tin can makes a good spinner plate, bent to a U shape. Build a mount to the trailer hitch and a mount for the motor to the barrel or bucket. Wire to the cigarette lighter and an on and off switch.

For a few years I actually had one that was made out of 2x4s that sat in the pickup bed with a bucket that sat over the end. It had a small garbage can at the corn supply holder, a windshield wiper motor and a flatten can as the spinner plate. The nails and screws worked their way loose and it slowly was cannibalized for the parts.
