Dropped it off at the taxidermist 6 weeks ago and picked it up today. 9 years in the making. Sorry for the crappy pics I’m moving out of my house and this is the best pose I could get.
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Good looking deer. Looks to have big body but always hard to tell in pics. What part of world did you get him? Also do you know the gross score? I know everybody doesn't care about score and that's fine but im always curious. Im putting together a comprehensive video about how to field judge/score bucks and im always trying to learn.
At some point in life its time to quit chasing the pot of gold and just enjoy the rainbow. FR

He was an old buck, pre rut 7 1/2 year old. Shot him the first week of November. I guessed he weighed 225-230 lbs on the hoof. Easily the biggest bodied whitetail I have killed. Shot him just north of Fowlerton. Scored him at 141”

Six weeks at Taxi? Looks like a good mount. Who did you use? Ours took 14 months. I shot the deer 9 years ago. I had his horns on a plaque, my taxidermist had a large south Texas cape so I took it to him. It doesn’t take long to finish a shoulder mount. Getting the cape back from the tannery is what takes most of the time. Here is another picture of him.
