Born and bred in Tulsa. My mom and one sister are Texans, my dad and I are Okies and my other sister was from Kansas. Just hacking on ya. I was actually grasping on anything. I have no issues with OKLAHOMA or White Settlement. As a matter of fact just left OKC this week to spend time with one of my Sales Specialist. I go there about every 6 weeks. Same rotation for Kansas City and Wichita.

If Whataburger gets screws up, there will be several new burger joints ready and willing to replace them.
Even the Baum's will have a chance to do it, one is supposedly going to open in Abilene.

they only open shops within a 300mi radius of the home farm in Tuttle OK. I've been thinking about going Oklahoma Wanna go on a road trip

Here's the thing about WB that the other burger joints just can't seem to get right. You can drive all over Texas doin' whatever, get hungry & pull into a WB & get the same good burger, same good restaurant, same good service. Consistency of a good burger experience!

Braums is great! I like their fast food better than WB. Plus, Braums market has saved me many trips to Walmart.

I only got one Whataburger cheeseburger when the new one opened near me. I couldn't finish it. I had to go to the Whataburger junior. I finally went back to McDonalds buttermilk chicken with a dollar cheeseburger for my dog.

It's a sad day for a Texas institution. It's inevitable that when a company like this buys them there will be changes that will not be well received. Whataburger got popular and stayed popular for a reason, and I'm betting it won't take long for the Chicago folks to undo it.
