Well, I know you have a good chrono, and I know you have access to distance. Please let us know if the BC is correct, and how consistent they print.

Picture of loaded 6.5 SAUM shows how bullets are packaged but they come with a red Hornady bag ( think Crown Royal) also.
Loaded round on right is 135 Berger for comparison both loaded to .010 off lands

Hope to get to range tomorrow evening.

Don’t have much first round.
Wanting to conserve these expensive bullets I loaded a 3 charge ladder.
Cleaned the barrel really good so on my lowest charge of N165 was 58.5 I loaded four rounds with ATips and a couple with my hunting bullets which is same weight 135 Berger Classic so I could use them to foul the barrel.
There is no data so I am using 6.5/284 data with 136 gr bullets and interpolation AKA guessing.
I guessed a little on the high side because even though I never got heavy bolt I could see ejector shine on the two higher charge so by my judgement the 58.5 charge is maximum for my rifle.

It took the two Berger and two of the ATips before velocity stabilized and I shot the ladder at 334 yards.
I had two 58.5gr and one 58.8 and one 59.1
Fired the 3 charges then waited a few minutes and fired last shot of 58.5
The two touching are the same 58.5 charge.

58.8 is the high shot and the 59.1 is the leftest. Wind was R to L but pretty light and mirage was horrible so Don’t think it was wind. The 2 touching gives me hope that’s the top of a node so going to drop back to 58.0 and run another small ladder.
I plugged in the G7 of .321 and as you see it hit dead on at 334 FWIW. Once I get this second round will pick something and go on out to the 654 target.

Shame 58.5 gr is a touch hot. Two touching at that distance is hard to ignore.

Today’s ladders
58.0/58.2/58.4

First three into same target at 334 yds....again light wind but opposite direction. Mirage was again awful hottest part of day.

Then shot 3 at 654 yards second picture. BC must be close and held water line with all 3 charge weights.

Had two rounds left of 58.4 shot them into steel at same 654 yards.... not great but hard to get perfect hold with mirage

Little windier today. Settled on 58.4 gr load just made up 5 to shoot for group at 654yds.
You can see from picture group was almost 21/2 inch vertical but having a stiff almost head on wind may have something to do with it.... not sure?

Around half MOA, ES of 15. I think wind was a big part. My bet is shoot that load again on a calmer day, and it will be much better. If it were me, I wouldn't give up on it yet.

If 58.5 is too warm, is 58.4 not asking for trouble? We’re talking less than .2% difference. Only asking to help me learn.

Actually 58.5 was the max or don’t go past here for my rifle. It seemed that 58.3 to 58.5 has nearly same velocity and POI so will work within that area.
I am definitely go to try the 58.4 load again.

Interesting how old technology becomes the new thing again. I vividly remember using Winchester Silver Tips in the late '60's - early '70's in a 300 H&H.

That bullet made the biggest hole I still have ever seen in a deer - at least 12" in diameter.
