What the blankety-blank happened to the academy in mesquite ?
I saw their father's day ad, and I thought I might be interested
in a thing or two they had advertised.
I haven't been by there in a long time, and when I stopped in today
it looked like the gander mountain store just before it closed up.
If you want any camping doo-dads or hunting things, you're SOL.
If you want some nike shoes and nike shorts to wear with them
you're golden.
I've been afraid for a long time that they would morph into a clothing
and soccer crap store, and it looks like they're well on their way

Complaining here is nice, but won't do any good. Contact Academy. If they don't hear from their customers, they don't know there is an issue.

It might also be a seasonal thing. Exactly, they will load up on hunting items in Aug., in advance of dive season and later archery

At the Academy store in Weatherford they have told me "you can order that on line". I said, it's in your sale flyer and the only way I can buy this is by ordering it on line? Yes, is all they said.

I used to shop the mesquite academy. I think they cater to the demographics of the community which makes sense to me. Apparel and soccer seems perfect for Mesquite.
