If you haven't tried this then you're missing out. May be the best overall seasoning I've ever used. I use it on steaks, burgers, salads, salsas, you name it. Give it a try.

I make a few of my own versions of seasoning blends. Normally I leave the salt out of my blends preferring to add the salt as a separate ingredient.

The items below were copied from other sources. Some of these blends I have tried and others I have not.

This is the mix we use. It goes on anything and everything. For Christmas one year we bought bottles of Fiesta seasoning and used the bottles as the measure, dumped in onto a 5 gallon bucket, mixed and then poured it back into the empty bottles and re-labeled ithe empty fiesta bottles. Since then we have done it a lot of times at the request of others.

2 tablespoons chili powder
2 tablespoons paprika
2 tablespoons ground cumin
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon ground red pepper
Combine all ingredients and store in an airtight container.

Some brown sugar or turbinado sugar in there and you would have a pretty good BBQ rub.

I mix my own also. I skip the paprika because the chili powder is mostly cumin and paprika.

This had jolly chili powder. Most of my flavor came from my melted butter.

It's one of my favorite steak rubs.
