Grand Prairie police officers Peruvian fiancée denied Visa to attend his funeral tomorrow. Ted Cruz tried to intervene but the State Department still said no. Must be more to this story.

Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

Happens every day in every state.
The fact he was a fallen officer makes it more delicate and definitely political media worthy. The media craves it.

Interesting.
I would like to know more facts. Like why is she there? Is it paperwork issue? Etc.

But the headline does grab your attention.

When we went to Peru, Chase said we couldn’t use our debit or credit cards there because of fraud. I have an acquaintance who has a fiancé who lives in Peru and I know her visiting and moving here has been a struggle at times.

Seems common sense should prevail in this story, but I don’t really know what the story is here.

Senators or Congress have no influence over the Consular Officer decisions, Tourist Visa applicants have the burden to prove ties to their home country, very common for a tourist visa to be denied. Most tourist visa only issued to the rich or the elderly from what I have seen
