Betty Crocker is safe. She doesn't have to worry that I will take her job. My home made pie crust would never be featured on the cover of the cooking magazines.
This is a peach pie that I made today. I am sure glad that I was not raised to judge a book by its cover; otherwise, I would have missed out on trying a delicious deep dish peach pie. The crust was flakey with a buttery flavor.
I do add one strange ingredient to my peach pies. I just add a pinch or two of cayenne pepper. Not enough cayenne to bite someone, but just enough to add a subtle undertone of flavor.
The rest of you just drool while I eat my pie.
