With the crisis in China with their hog shortage, would that open an avenue of selling the surplus of feral hogs we have here in the U.S.? Tweak a few regs & viola, hunters get paid, China gets fed! Winning!

Hogs must be live! Hunters no choot! Long ride on boat.

Come on, surely we can come up with something that will work. Live, dead, whatever. Not trying to argue, but surely there's a way to make it it feasible.

Smithfield Foods is the largest pork producer in the world and is already owned by China. They don't need our feral swine. They'll just empty the markets here of pork products and have it all sent to China. We may be the ones resorting to feral pigs for our bacon.

That may work out even better. Market locally grown feral if we run out of commercially produced pork. Think PIG!

Shoot some pigs that are in the corn fields every night. More bacon than you can handle. Pretty impressive....and very tasty.

Think they tried doing trade with China with feral hogs... confused2 if people in texas specialy hunters wont eat them sends bad vibes... U cant even sell traped hogs due ta regulations & thar be hog farms closely regulated that China can get... Charging people ta hunt hogs tis the problem... 80's people were trapping & selling feral hogs, some shipped ta China, regulations stopped it, people wanna hunt hogs, reason got on first lease, 24-7-365 hog hunts...
So market opened up 4 pay hog hunts... Now got poisoning going on, as hunter for grillen & chillen not sure i'd want ta m3ss with it...
Hog problem tis all about Big Buck's... i've tried ta share info 4 places ta help out with hog problem, its even afordable hunts 4 middle class hunters... WMA (public land hunts) they can b some of best hunting due ta regulations, & pressure from surrounding privet land owners 24-7-365 hunting... i stayed after the hogs on area set up 4 deer hunts... it went ta 1 buck only ta 4 deer county... Proof tis in d pudding. .

Quote
Warning: Do it your self hog hunts on WMA & public hunting land tis NOT execative hunts...

edit: 2cents large g shaped hog traps would work best spring gate...

You can trap hogs and sell them to buyers licensed by the state. I have heard that the local buyer in our area has a contract with a slaughter house/packing plant somewhere. Could those hogs already be going to China?

Feral hogs can be taken in live for inspection and USDA processing if deemed disease free.
State approved holding facilities can sell them for processing.

Some info in this publication, and yes it does sound like much is already going overseas. https://wildpigs.nri.tamu.edu/media...holding-facility-guidelines-in-texas.pdf
