Possibly looking to move to somewhere in the hill country. I’m an electrician by trade. Any opinions on good places?

Need more info about what kind of places you want. Big city, real small town or mid size and proximity to major metro areas. Anything west of Merkel is fast paced oilfield related, with high housing costs.

If you have lifetime Colorado hunt and fish license available and still want to hunt and fish there, you should think about the life time license, it will cheap compared to out of state license.

Might outa check on getting a Texas electrician license before you get here.

Check with the TDLR.

If the 2nd amendment was written just to include guns for hunting, why is there not an amendment to protect fishing poles?

Fredericksburg is booming, turning into a mini Austin.

any place west of Weirdville (Austin) . I retired in sleepy Kingsland. 70 miles West. They need electricians all over here.

Boerne, New Braunfels and San Marcus.

Last time I was there, Merkel was no where close to the Hill Country bolt

That aint no joke. Boerne, New Braunfels, San Marcos, Kyle/Buda.....its nuts how fast its growing.

IF you can make a living in the area, Llano, Mason, Johnson City, Marble Falls, are nice places. Fredericksburg is too trendy/hipsterish for me but its a nice town. Kerrville is, well, lets just say I will withhold my judgement. Same goes for CenterPoint/Comfort area.

Not liberal at all, hence moving from Colorado... I’m looking for anything really just not a big city.

Work wise I’ve been doing resi electrical for about 4 years. before that I worked at large surface coal mine. Wife has been a social service director at a nursing home for a few years As well. We have one 3 year old son, so family oriented areas would be great.
