Hey y’all! Just seeing if anyone knows of a lease within a 3 hour radius or less of the the Andrews Texas area. I was just honorably discharged from the Marine Corps and really excited about getting back into hunting after years and years of missing it. Would like the lease to be a year round lease with all the Texas game available to hunt with their respected seasons. Deer, pigs dove turkey quail etc. I would be available all this week to come take a look after that it will be a right to try and get something scheduled. Thanks again y’all I look forward to seeing what you guys know of.

Thanks for your service! flag

Leases like your looking for come and go very quickly. I hope you get the responses your hoping for.........but if you don't I suggest you really watch the classifieds for something opening up and jump on it as soon as you can. Have your cash in hand when you go to look at the place because if you like it the chances are high it will lease by the next person that looks at it after you. Most good to great leases are not going to call anybody. They will post there openings and wait for the cash which doesn't take long.....good luck!

Everything Pitch said including the thank you for your service. I would ad to check on leasehunter.com as it seems to be the best online source for leases.

Theres a lease on craigslist in Gray county. A little over 4 hours from you so maybe too far. More acreage per hunter than most(500) and cheaper than most($2500) but it is a long ways away from most folks. That part of the world can be very site specific as far as a good lease but possibly has huge deer. The habitat and deer density could vary greatly from place to place.

I would also suggest, don’t sit back & wait for someone to call you. Go out to all the feed stores in surrounding towns & press some flesh, ask around. If you see a group of old curmudgeonly farmers, stop & ask them.

Good luck.

Sound advice Maximus, deer lease searching is no time to be a wilting Daisy...

Start checking the Craigslist from Abilene, San Angelo Midland/Odessa and Lubbock. There are some wackos on CL, so tread lightly.

^^^Agree with this for sure. Its hard to find a good one so you got to get after it. If its not that important then it probably wont happen. Also agree that Craigslist needs to be treaded lightly but I think that's true of any deer lease shopping. Personally I have had success with it but I understand the caution. Finding and embarking on a new deer lease would be considered a major endeavor and doing ones due diligence in that search would be important.
