General rifle season is always the first Saturday in November.

yep on general rifle ... but archery is typically the first Sat. in Oct. but last year it was in Sept.

ha, I still remember back years ago, general rifle (actually deer season since there wasn't an archery) was the first Sat. after Nov. 16 ... which was typically the Sat. after the last Texas HS Football regular season

When I got to high school, I usually missed school that day!
In my area, the rut usually kicks in around that time and opening day the bucks were hot on the heels of a doe, and you were sitting in a tree blind with a jacket on watching your breath as the sun came up.

That's funny cause the link to the 2019-2020 season is at the top of that page online.

So eliminating the sarcasm, it is Sept 28.

Holy he$$, we do this every year. Archery season always opens the Saturday closest to October 1 and the general season always opens the 1st Saturday in November. Season always ends the 1st Sunday in January. All of this assumes the property is not in MLD.

I see what I did wrong ... I typed in the search bar "Texas deer season" and TPWD 2018-2019 Hunting Season Dates popped up but nothing about 2019-2020 ... when I tried it again just now, with 2019 Texas Deer season, 2018-2019 is at the top but 2019-2020 is below it.
