Depending on how my other draws go this year and next I probably won’t be able to go with you, but if you find a guy or a couple go go with you, I can help y’all out with some of the logistics and get you lined up.

Definitely plan on buying a point before October 31st. A point will give you a few more options.

ive been trying to read the booklet in utah.. ahterless otc after july 11th..very confusing..i think utah isnt much more of a drive than colorado..mayby couple of hundred miles..man its confusing..ive got about a month to figure it out for otc drawings..lots of questions..like you have to have a permit to buy a license..so how does that work on otc sales?

Consider Idaho too. OTC tags for deer or elk. Draws for everything. Send a pm with snail mail and I can send a lot of info. Longer drive to get to God’s Country, but worth it!!

Quick break down:

Over the Counter (OTC) tags are tags that you can go down to Walmart and buy. Idaho has OTC elk, mule deer, black bear, and wolf tags. Colorado has OTC archery and rifle elk tags. AZ has OTC archery deer tags. The only OTC Pronghorn tags I know of are archery tags in Kansas.

The Utah antlerless draw has some really neat tags. There are tags there that can be drawn with no points. I hunted doe Antelope with no points in 2016.

Actually Nebraska has OTC antelope archery tags also. They can be obtained off the Internet or any G&P office.

Theres a lot of high percentage Antelope draws in eastern montana both rifle and archery. I had a great spot when I lived there and you had a 76% success draw rate, and the whole section was either public land or BLM, so we would tag out every year by noon opening day.
