My eyes go right to the jalapeño then the asparagus. But even though it looks great, I would pass on the chicken unless it was brined.

Chicken just has no taste. The brine fixes that. Soak it overnight in sweet salty water. Keep it cold. Cook it and be pleasantly surprised at the improvement.

Skin on thighs are my go to if the price is not a factor. Not arguing against brine but the skin keeps them juicy, little bit of whatever seasoning you want on top and they are hard to beat. Cajun seasoning, lemon pepper, cheap bbq sauce for the kids,etc - it all comes out pretty good.
