Weird thing happened today. Wife opened the front door today to get packages off the porch and I heard a scream. She said there's a deer having a seizure on the front porch. By the time I got there, it didn't look like a seizure, but a few last slow movements and then she expired (the deer not the wife). Deer looked very pregnant and fawns have started appearing in last couple of weeks. I looked closely and didn't see any movement in her belly. Out of curiosity, I checked the doorbell camera and the deer had been there for at least an hour and a half. The UPS man almost soiled himself when he dropped the packages off. Any ideas what the issue might have been? There wasn't a mark on the deer anywhere. I'm guessing it was some difficulty with delivery but have nothing to back that up. We're in a neighborhood, acre lots and are overrun with deer.

Called the GW. He said to call the Sheriff. Sheriff said to drag it out to the street and call the county bridge and road dept to come pick her up.

That sucks about the deer, pretty odd. I know if it happened at my parents hose when I was a kid they would have come straight to me whistle

Gotta love ups drivers, they drive the ever loving sh!+ out of those trucks lol

We didn't get that far. The suggestion of dragging a dead dear to the street to freak out the neighborhood kids and the housewife dog walkers and attract buzzards while we waited a day (or 2 or 5) for the county to come pick it up did not seem like an acceptable option to me.

Yeah, he kind of lost all focus once he saw the deer. You can just barely see her legs in the bottom right corner of the screen.

I also would have thought he might have rung the doorbell to see if someone was home and let them know about the terminally ill deer on the porch.

It the driver had been from Louisiana I probably would have had video of him dragging it back to his truck.

Wouldn't surprise me if they said to call GW. Round and round we go, like calling health insurance folks.

There are 3 crazy things in that story. I went fishing in a farm tank one evening, did well. Returned the following morning for more and found a dead fawn floating in my fishing spot. Probably wandered in too far and could not swim.
