This was my final stop on the way home after hunting some other properties. My tenant said coyotes had gotten one of his calves recently and so I was going to see about getting a coyote to finish the night, but instead, there was a sizable boar at the back of the pasture that turned out bigger than I expected. The first shot went through the cervical vertebrae. When I walked up on the boar, it was still moving its head and was in respiratory distress and so I finished it off with a head shot (not on video).

Ha! I think you are the first person to notice that on this video. That is one of my favorite times to shoot because the animal usually remains stationary during the process.

That’s exactly what got me to look, he was stopped for a reason. Totally agree with you on that !!
