Really hard to argue against the B-52. Some Iranians may be on the receiving end very soon. . Agreed Sir. Sure gets my vote Ah the A10. Great choice

Lets not forget the great F-16. Great work horse but really wasn’t that cool until it got multi vector thrusting engine and then it never went widespread

I got to tour a B-17 (?) one time in Las Cruces at an air show. When you can see the area used for bomb storage, machine gunners and how flimsy the side is, a whole lot of respect for those flyers. The tail gunner had the toughest role, completely prone in his duty station. Very impressive.

F4 Phantom was a helluva plane. Seen many with more holes in em than Swiss cheese and still get back home safely. Very very tough bird.

If I could go back and talk to my 14 year old self, I would have made straight A's in high school (was capable, didn't want to) then got a college degree in something useful, and become an A-10 pilot. May have ended up in the fire service anyway, but damn I would've had some experiences and stories to tell.

I think an argument for the AC 130 could be made. On top of that the A 10, B 17, F 16, P51, F4, SR71, B52. There’s a lot of planes that changed history. Not even addressing the modern fighters and drones that may change history
