We are selling our high fence ranch near Winters in Runnels county. There are 529 +- acres in the place with over 5 miles of new high fence. This property is everything you could want, either as a home or a weekend retreat. There are exotics to enjoy including blackbuck, axis, and aoudad. We have a small herd of bison that stay in their own pasture. There are plentiful native whitetail with some improved genetics that have been introduced on the place. There is also abundant other hunting consisting of dove, quail, and turkey. There are several stock tanks, springs, and over a mile of Elm Creek going through the property. The largest stock tank has recently been stocked with hybrid catfish. We’re also less than a mile away from Winters Lake that has additional recreational and fishing opportunities. The 3 bedroom, 2 bath home, (sleeps 9), was completely remodeled in 2017 including new wiring, plumbing, fixtures, cabinetry, appliances, energy efficient windows, insulation and HVAC. All of the new furnishings are conveyed with the property. There is a 750 sq.ft. duplex bunkhouse that was built in 2018. This property has been in my family for over 100 years, and we’re the fourth generation to own it. The property carries an Ag exemption on the tax rolls.
