I went to the shooting range today and ran into a problem I have never seen before with my AR 6.8SPC. It wasn’t ejecting spent shells.
I quit that rifle and finished the day shooting my .308.

Got home tonight and looked at the 6.8. The bolt had a firm grip on the brass but it was trying to throw it the wrong way....jamming it against the wall of the upper receiver. WTH! I took the bolt carrier apart and re-indexed the bolt 180 degrees and now it works fine. I have never had this happen before. Have y’all?

Yes can only go in two ways because of the cam pin

Every one I've seen had a lip on one side of the hole in the bolt so the cam pin could only be put in one way.

That’s how it’s supposed to be but if things are out of spec like I imagine the op has, then it can go in wrong.
