Has anyone tried them? They are 1-3/4; loaded with two sizes of buckshot. I love them, about half the recoil as 2-3/4" shells and just as deadly. In my home defense shotgun capacity went from 5 + 1 to 9 + 1. Cycle perfectly, no jams as of yet.

I've read that some police departments are using them. Makes sense. More capacity, faster followup because of reduced recoil, reduced risk of overpenetration, yet still adequate knockdown.

I tried them and they cycled about 85% of the time; primarily failure to feed. That high a failure rate makes me a bit nervous in a PD weapon so I looked around and found these: They don't increase how many you can stuff in your magazines by much, but I get at least two more in my DP-12 and my Mossie, and they've been 100% reliable in both weapons. I've taken 'coons, possums, foxes and one coyote with them. I'll trade reliability for capacity any time in PD weapon.

I've shot them in a Winchester Defender 12ga without any problems. They cycled and were accurate. They are expensive IMHO compared to buying S&B buckshot in 25 rd boxes at $8.79 per box.

Shot a round of clays with them for s&g once. Used a Beretta O/U to do it. Broke clays as well as 'regular' rounds if I did my part. Light load for the long range stuff (over say, 40 yards or so)

Shot them through my wife’s Tac-14, very easy recoil. Honestly though, with the grip design of the Tac-14, 2 3/4 buckshot isn’t terrible to shoot

I can see where the mini shells would be beneficial to a recoil sensitive shooter. The data from the website lists a 5/8 ounce load at 1200 fps in 12 gauge shells.
I have never shot the Aguila round, but I do have experience with 3/4 (6/8) ounce loads at about 1250 fps in my 12 gauge shotguns. The last three flats of 12 gauge shells I reloaded were 3/4 ounce loads using Extra Light powder and a Claybuster 12 gauge CB-0175 wad.
These 3/4 ounce rounds are a dream to shoot. The recoil reduction over a typical 1 1/8 (9/8) ounce load is tremendous. I have not fired the shells in a semi-auto, but in pump guns and break open actions the recoil is like getting hit in the face with a feather.
I believe Federal is now producing a shotshell with 15/16 ounces of shot as well.
Luck favors the prepared mind.
