Now that we're at the high round count testing stage on a completely new pistol design all my engineering resources are focused on the NULA bolt rifles which we hope to have on the market by August with several improvements over the original rifles.

Thank you for the reply. I’ve seen the NULA bolt rifles and almost bought one but I’m not a fan of bolt action. I hope to see a bada$$ semiauto in the future.

After 38 revs we have FINALLY perfected the Lehigh Defense 125gr Xtreme Chaos bullet and I honestly believe it's the ultimate bullet for the HAM'R. The SKU # is 17-308-125-XC and we have them in line for production.

Excellent!

Earlier you posted that 26.2 of A1680 was performing best. Is this still the case after the revisions?

Yes, we didn't make any changes to the length/profile. NOTE: I haven't had this load pressure tested yet, but it seems safe in my guns and I've shot hundreds now of this load

Getting ready for the 125gr Xtreme Chaos bullet I have been loading rounds of 125gr Controlled Chaos bullets over 26.2gr of A1680.
Accuracy has been good and I have seen no signs of adverse pressure.

Bill. What is your guesstimate on timing to offer these in a WC or Lehigh commercial boxed load?

That's a lot of can you have there. Should be quiet. Is it heavy?

"Group think" is not thinking. It is the lack of independent thought. It is a cancer of the mind.

Best guess would be second half of April. We will bring out both the Xtreme Chaos and Maximum Expansion loads at the same time.

Is there a good CFEBLK load for the new Lehigh Defense 125gr Xtreme Chaos bullet?

The can itself is about 6inces. The QC mount goes in about 2.5 making the total 8.5ish and taking the pic top down does make it look much longer.

Total rifle weight is just over 7bs. Not too bad

As most know the Sierra 125gr Pro Hunter bullet hasn't been available for 2 years or so, this bullet is currently in production at Sierra and should be available very soon. The new production has a thicker jacket and is a tougher bullet than the original.

27.4gr of CFEBLK lot #17 seems to shoot well at 2459fps from a 16" using a LabRadar

Again, this load has NOT been pressure tested yet

When you get your hands on some will you retest them for accuracy and publish safe loads...preferably for CFEBLK?

The web site data is with this bullet, the last lot we got pre-scamdemic were this spec. Like the 130gr HHC this is a bullet you can't get enough CFEBLK in the case for truly dangerous pressures. Just find an accurate load in the 2500fps range and you'll be GTG.

I know this is off subject a little, but I ordered a Wilson Combat AR15 Tactical Hunter in 300 Hamm'r. It came in late last week and I am blown away!Amazing quality and sub MOA out of the box shooting 125 grain, 135 grain as well as 150. BTW that was with iron sights.

I am ready for any deer or hog hunt now.

Thank you Mr. Wilson and team!!

Pete

I have one of those trimmers and a metal one just almost like it. They work great. I have several different adapters for the plastic one.

I like brass and lead with a little powder in between

I'm still partial to the good old Lee Case Length Gage and cutter, mounted to an RCBS Brass Boss. the .300 Ham'r is a custom ordered product but you'll only ever need one. 2cents

You use the 300 BO mandrel and adjust the cutter for 300 Ham’r

No, I use a custom ordered mandrel. PN: 90493, specify the cartridge name, trim to length, bullet diameter and shellholder #. they make it and ship to your door.

So I've been working on loads, and am very happy with CFE BLK; getting 2200 FPS 150 grain HDY SST/REM 7.5 primer and prepped range pickup 5.56 brass from a 17.5" barrel. Bear in mind I'm using a 7.62x40, so my numbers will be a touch lower.
Adding more powder just deforms the bullet and doesn't seem to increase velocity, so I'm calling the load good.

I did have a question that is a bit more broad than usual: I'm about to get started loading for 9mm with the Shellshock brand aluminum and stainless cases (i.e. the same thing that the military is using to jack up chamber pressure for the .277 Fury), and the idea of pushing pressures beyond what is safe for brass seemed really interesting. I'm the least excited about doing it with an auto-loading rifle, as you have pressure curves and bolt thrust limits to deal with (as opposed to a bolt gun which can withstand >100k psi). Still, the idea of using a novel case to push pressures up to 65-75k PSI MIGHT give velocity within 150 FPS of a 147/150 grain .308 in a 16" barrel. Playing around with Quickload hasn't been terribly helpful as it has been giving me velocities about 70-100 FPS below what I'm seeing on the radar.

This may just be a fool's errand, but since Bill makes himself available and enjoys tinkering, I thought it might be fun to play with. I did ask Shellshock and they weren't super helpful, but they have also just released .300 BLK as their first "rifle" case. It sure seems like they are ALMOST set up to make a run of .300 HAM'R, but of course I'm not in a position to nudge them towards that.
