I finally made it out to the lease after building my 6.8 on Saturday and I would say it shoots pretty good grin rifle

Had a coyote come in Saturday evening right before dark but was unable to get a shot off. Sunday morning I had this boar come into my South feeder and was the first victim. Quartering away shot into the vitals and ran about 50 yards.

Sunday evening around 6 I had a lone sow come into the road corn to my South. Hit front shoulder and dropped her in the road. 170 yards.

Then had another sow with piglets come in just after 7. Took out both legs and heart with this one. I dropped her in the road and then she ran a few yards before flipping over due to no front legs. rofl This one was just over 230 yards. Forecast showed rain and thunderstorms starting just at dark so I only stayed until 8 before heading to camp.

Went out this morning before heading home and had another sow with piglets come out just before 7. Hit her in front shoulder and dropped her in the road as well. 240 yards.

this pic shows the last 2 kills laying in the road.

That turned out nice...the rifle and the hunt success.

What ammo are you using?

Just my .02,
LeonCarr

Last years pig population was insane and pretty much shot at least one every trip during deer season. This year is looking like it will be much of the same.

6.8 is a good one! I have never shot anything farther than maybe 100 yds, mostly closer than that. Nice to see she performs well out a farther distances.
Good job!

Good job!

I shot a central TX doe behind the shoulder with my 6.8, 115gr Fed Fusion at 168 yards. She ran about 30 yards and died, blood trail was very easy to follow. That was my longest shot on a deer so far and the bullet exited.
