A-iPower 1800/2300 inverter. Generator About the cheapest of all the non-Honda/Yamaha and it comes with 30A adapter and parallel cables.

We inherited a knock off 3500 inverter when my wife’s grandpa died. It hadn’t been cranked in years, had bad gas in it, still won’t crank and the fuel bulb is busted. It’s not made anymore and I can’t find parts. If I can’t get it running I may try one of these.
Up for anybody else...

In my opinion, generator is one of the few things I would not go cheap on.

I went with this one. Champion Geneterator It has been used two years, and sits for long periods without use. Runs like a top, cranks easy and all that jazz. When I am done with it, I turn the fuel off and let the carb run out of fuel. hasn't let me down yet.

The champion was at the top of my list until I found this one at sam’s. But the champion has been around awhile and has a good reputation for reliability so I may be better off getting that one.

Take the one you have to a small engine shop. If there is nothing wrong other than the bad gas chances are you wont need any parts.

Use Stabil too. Are 7 and 5 years old. No problems so far.

The Champion is only $30 more, and as you say, has been around a while and has a good reputation...if it were me, my mind would have been made up already.

I've used that one before actually. I bought 2 of those for our fraternity tailgates. Worked like a charm and needless to say they've been through a lot

I did a bunch of research recently and found that the predator inverter from harbor freight has very good reviews.
I plan on purchasing the 3500 watt soon

I have a champion 3" trash pump and had a problem with the priming, called and within 10 mins. they were sending me a whole new front/impeller and everything I needed to rebuild the pump part. thought that was pretty dam good service for no more than we paid for it. I will buy the brand again.

Good points all. The thing I like about this one vs a Champion or the one from Harbor Freight is the fact it has the L5-30R twist lock right there on the unit. All you do is plug the parallel cables in and twist the RV adapter in and you're good to go. Those are included. With the other two you have to buy a separate parallel kit with those plugs and both the Champ and HF are $60+. If you bought two of these to parallel together, you'd have a spare adapter and set of cables. Just something to think about.
