Some of you may know me as the Superintendent of Schools in Fritch, TX; however, I'm also the golf coach and super fan for the SFISD Eagles. Here's how the past week went for me and my teams:
Last Sunday - Took boys golf to Odessa for Regional tournament; ate a Mi Piaci in Odessa ... OUTSTANDING Italian food.
Monday - 2nd round; ate dinner at the old Barn Door...good steak but that big old block of cheese and hot bread on the table...mmmmm.
Tuesday - Girls team arrives...back to Mi Piaci and once again, some of the best Italian in Texas.
Wednesday - Hit a local Taco spot called Twisted Taco...may be some of the best street tacos I've eaten and I've had a few.
Thursday - Headed back to Lubbock for Softball playoff game...stopped in Andrews at Buddy's Drive-In. Steak Finger basket...'nuff said.
Friday - Regional track meet in Levelland; staying in Lubbock. Spanky's and the best cheese sticks and onion rings around.
Saturday - Finally headed home...Thai House in Amarillo for some jerky and sticky rice along with some Chicken Chow Mein...tasty!
Sunday - mowed the yard, bologna sandwiches, a few naps, Game of Thrones, bed
Today - Struggled to get motivated, two burritos from Allsups...good.

Headed to Austin in a few weeks for UIL Academic competition and more good eats.

Sounds like a great trip. Who would have thunk? Great Italian food in west Texas.

Ok different tastes I guess. I love all food that's why I am a big fat dude. So I have ate at Mi Piaci, several times. To me it's ok, not great. I have had better, Love me some Twisted Tacos though. Barn Door? meh its ok, use to be a whole lot better many yrs ago.

Allsups? It's KING. Burritos with MUSTARD, game on.

Man I miss me some Spanky's, my favorite thing there is the fried mushrooms.
