Should be fine. Not a large airport.

Havent bought the tix yet but probably will tomorrow.

Friend in Maryland was given 3 months to live earlier this week and his family is having party for him on 5/25. I would rather go see him then instead of showing up for a funeral

Go through the TSA precheck process to lessen your security wait.

Take an uber instead of driving. Remove parking from the equation

We all need to practice Whoa more.

You're good if you can check in online, and check in usually closes an hour before the flight leaves.

This. Security is the wild card. Traffic and parking aren't that bad. Don't use Hwy 183, it's all under construction. Not sure where you are driving from.

We fly through Austin regularly. Usually security is no biggie. I think 20 minutes is the most time it’s taken so far. Not sure about a holiday weekend, though. Traffic will be your biggest issue. Austin is a cluster on the good days. I would reserve a spot at one of the parking vendors and take their shuttle to the terminal.

How about park close to the airport, then Uber in?

The only way I see you making it is taking a toll. Where do you live at? I should be able to give you a rough estimate, I know for a fact to leave three hours prior from RR or Cedar Park, we left one time to an hour before takeoff and missed the flight.

I’d download the airlines app if you haven’t to check in and to have your boarding pass on your phone. You’ll be able to go straight to security unless you’re checking a bag. I never check bags. I always empty my pockets and remove my belt before going through and have everything but my wallet,ID and phone in my backpack. .

You might be cutting it a bit close but think it's doable if you don't hit any snags along the way. Toll 130 is also under construction between Pflugerville and FM 969 and speed limit dropped to 70 mph ... Depends on which airline you are flying as all the major lines go out of the main terminal. There is a new terminal on the south side of the airport that one of my worker flew out of last week, so no clue what that one is like if you are flying from there. I always use FastPark offsite parking and then shuttle to the front door makes it quicker than parking at the airport. You can register for Fastpark for free online and make a reservation to insure you a parking spot.

Yep, we had to shuttle to the south terminal. This adds 30 min to your schedule.

I live near Holland. I will be using 130 to get there.

Problem with booking a later flight...no direct flights after that so that would put us there after 9pm their time instead of 4pm their time. We have a friend picking us up at the airport and we are staying with him and his wife. We are flying out on Fri and flying back on Sun so we have a limited amount of time to spend there and wanna make the most of what little time we have.

I think we are going to book it. I will figure out the parking situation and we likely wont check any bags.
