When will they notify you if you drew or not?

Typically at the end of May is when you can see it online and it will be June before you get your tags if successful

None at all... Talked about this deer last weekend when we were up for a party.

"For the record, the current Kansas rifle record is a 198 2/8-inch buck taken by Dennis Finger in 1974 in Nemaha County."

We were neighbors at the time and I may have been much younger.

Don’t care much for the taste of venison so I don’t shoot them.

To me, it’s about like kissing your sister. It’s still a kiss but......

We have 3 farms in Unit 14, Butler County. We've been managing these farms 3 years now, just starting to see results and payoff from all our work. Several mature deer have been taken and tons of great buck potential in this unit. Multiple 160's - 180's on camera or seen on the hoof. Love it up there!

This is our first go at it. Three of us got on a lease. Looks like I was the only successful one at drawing a tag.

So if it says active with a privilege number under it does that mean I drew a tag?

That is exactly what mine says also.
Hope that means success.

Both of the other guys I applied with received a refund and the email saying unsuccessful this morning. Mine says awarded hunt and also has the privilege number.

In the future draws, do y’all buy your $97 hunting license when you apply for the tag. I did, but that’s not fun if you don’t draw a tag.

No to mention being out the price of a lease and not being able to draw.

I thought they had some OTC tags you could get?

No OTC’s this yr. all units were full draw.

Ive heard of a lot of people who didnt draw this year. I even know a guy who had a preference point and didnt draw.

There is rumor that KS will refund hunting license purchase if you request so. I personally dont think that they should as other states dont.

I drew. I think KS is getting out of hand with NR hunters. I’ve kept track of the amount of NR applicants over the last several years and it continues to increase. Deer #s are way down as well as quality.

Too many people with the mindset of “I paid for this hunt so Im leaving with a buck”.

I love hunting KS and hope their wildlife dept can figure something out to make it better for all. It surely isnt what it used to be.

The main reason I haven't put in the last 2 years. I started back in 2004. In the last 5 years, it has really gone downhill. Sure not what it used to be.

We called our biologist today. He said numbers looked great. He gave us the number to the lady in charge of non-resident left over tags.

She said there are no lefts overs this year. She said it was unprecedented.
