Got drawn to hunt Moore Plantation near Jasper. Did serious scouting three weeks before the Hunt Date but heard nothing, Hunted hard but heard nothing. Will enter the draw again next year. 30plus Rio Grandes but not anything else. Thanks to everyone who gave me hints. I'm not giving up.

That's too bad. Maybe next time. Did you get to go after thunder chickens on that Matador hunt yet??

I admire your dedication. Sure hope you get one. We used to fish and deer hunt a big place in Louisiana near Alexandria. The owner of the plantation hunted Easterns every spring every chance he got for years and years. Never got one. One spring I was fishing in the bayou in a small johnboat and saw him walking up the road with a big gobbler slung over his back. He had finally achieved his dream. He was probably in his early 80s by then and his emotions that morning as he told me the story moved me almost to tears. This man had hunted all over the world but said he could now die a happy man.
I learned long ago you can't reason someone out of something they don't reason themselves into.
